Allison sets scoring mark in win

PORTSMOUTH — Ky’re Allison scored 27 points and became Portsmouth’s all-time leading scorer as the Trojans beat the South Point Pointers 62-37 on Tuesday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.

Allison hit a 3-pointers with 2:11 left in the third quarter to surpass Craig Tubbs who previously held the record with 1,485 points.

Allison needed 18 points entering the game to break the record.

Kendall Reynolds added 20 points for Portsmouth (9-5, 5-2).

Tayshaun Fox had eight points for South Point (5-8, 5-4).

Portsmouth led 20-6 after the first quarter and 32-15 at the half.
