Linda Starr

Jan. 2, 1949 — March 7, 2016

Linda Kay Starr, 67, of South Point, passed away Monday, March 7, 2016, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Dayton native was born Jan. 2, 1949, a daughter of Mary Alice Hale Letsche, of South Point, and the late Ralph John “Jack” Letsche. She is also survived by her husband, Thomas Starr, whom she married July 10, 1968.

Mrs. Starr attended South Point High School and was a former housekeeper for the Ramada Inn and the Grandview Inn. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her special friends, Raymond and Linda Nelson.

In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by two sons, Donald Allen Starr and Ronald Lee (Jill) Starr, all of South Point; six grandchildren, Victoria “Tori” Morgan Starr, Hunter Thomas Starr, Molly Jane Starr, Daniel Starr, Jonathan Starr and Aaron Starr; three brothers, Ralph (Patricia Ann) Letsche, of Chillicothe, Danny Letsche and David (Ria) Letsche, all of Tampa, Florida; three sisters, Angela “Angie” Letsche, of Chillicothe, Barbara Rickman, of South Point, and Marilyn “Snook” (Andy) Zimmerman, of Chillicothe; and also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and an aunt and uncle, Fred and Linda Hale.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with the Rev. Anthony A. Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens and visitation will be Thursday from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Lucille Ferris

Lucille Ellen Ferris, 80, of Chesapeake, died Monday, March 7, 2016, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. She is survived by her husband, William Ferris. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville.

 

Stephen Shears

Stephen R. Shears 51, of Ironton, formerly of Pedro, died Monday, March 7, 2016, at his home. Arrangements are pending at Brown Funeral Chapel.
