Authorities said Edens started a fire in her apartment that injured her husband. Although the fire was initially extinguished, it reignited a short time later and severely damaged the Edens’ apartment.

The other apartment in the building sustained moderate smoke and water damage. The tenants in the other unit escaped unharmed.

Edens remain in jail.
