OUS women’s conference offers diverse sessions

The sixth annual women’s conference will teach women how to be financially proactive, obtain tips and tricks for healthy eating, learn personal safety techniques and hear from women who are leaders in business and those at the heart of social change.

The conference will run from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, April 15, at Ohio University Proctorville Center.

Morning and afternoon sessions will feature lectures and workshops with keynote speaker Ironton Mayor Katrina Keith at the noon luncheon.

The following sessions are Joan C. Browning speaking on her time as a Freedom Rider; Mission or Passion: Why Do We Do What We Do; Situational Awareness for Personal Safety; Health Benefits of Paleo; Tea 101; Broadcasting; Foodies on a Tandem; Simple and Exotic Dishes You Can Make at Home; Recognizing the Signs of Abuse; The Human – Animal Bond; Massage and Yoga; How to Avoid a Cultural Diversity Calamity; and Jodi Rowe-Collins talking about finance.
