CHESAPEAKE — The Fairland Lady Dragons made it 2-for-2.

The Lady Dragons won their second straight track meet on Friday at the annual Chesapeake Lions Club Invitational.

The Lady Dragons had 227 points as they cruised to the win. Coal Grove was next with 113.4, South Point had 48.3, Rock Hill 42, Chesapeake 41, Spring Valley (W.Va.) 29.3 and Ironton 12.

The Parkersburg Big Red won the boys’ meet as the Class AAA team from West Virginia easily outdistanced the field by 80 points.

Parkersburg had 194 points with Fairland next at 114. South Point had 90 points followed by Coal Grove with 63, Chesapeake 52, Rock Hill 38, Ironton 29, Spring Valley (W.Va.) 26 and Tolsia (W.Va.) 11.

Jackie Wagner had a big performance for the Lady Dragons as she won the discus with a toss of 118-11. Breezy Brewer won the shot put with a heave of 33-7.

The Lady Dragons helped their cause by winning all four relay events.

McKenna Pannell won both the 800 and 1600 meters and Tori Hall was a double winner as she took the long jump and the 3200 meters while Allie Marshall took the high jump and 400 meters.

Parkersburg won 12 of the 17 events including all four relays to dominate the boys’ meet.

Fairland’s Hunter Ashton won the high jump, South Point’s Cole Christian was first in the shot put, Rock Hill’s Seth Miller won the 1600 meters and Chesapeake’s Cecil Fletcher took the 400 meters.
