PINE GROVE — The ladies are on the links.

The Ladies Nine-Hole Golf Association of the Ironton Country Club returned to the course for a new season three weeks ago with Pat Lambert serving as the hostess.

Lambert started the group’s fun with two teams and each member with one club. Unfortunately rain and cold weather halted play.

Betty Fraley took her turn as hostess the following week.

Georgia Willis, Margaret Donley and Lambert were the event winners for the Tuesday outing.

Pat Riggs was hostess last week and announced the daily winners during the group’s lunch session.

Newest member Margaret Donley received a warm welcome from the group and the winners were recognized: Dora Carmon, Fraley and Willis.

The Ringer Tournament began two weeks ago. All members needing assistance should contact Riggs.

Next week’s hostess will be Wanda Spears.

New members are always welcome. Weekly business meetings are in the pro shop at 9:30 a.m. followed by golf at 10.

The weekly hostess will notify the pro shop if meetings are cancelled.
