Michelle Goodman, managing editor, placed first for best headline writer.

“We are honored to be recognized by our peers and the Associated Press Media Editors for the hard work our staff does to be Lawrence County’s hometown newspaper,” Josh Morrison, Tribune general manager, said. “These honors reflect that hard work, but our main objective is to always be a valuable source of information and advertising to the communities we serve. While these awards are judged on news, photography and composing, several of these honors reflect the dedication and hard work of the entire staff. While the awards may hang in The Tribune office, we feel these are community awards because it is the readers who allow us to tell their stories.”
