Stella Clark

Oct. 21, 1950 — June 6, 2016

Stella Louise French Clark, 65, of Ironton, passed away Monday, June 6, 2016, at her residence. The Lawrence County native was born Oct. 21, 1950, the daughter of the late Wilford French and Louise Hutchinson French.

Mrs. Clark attended Rock Hill High School and was a homemaker. She was a former employee of Cabletron, a member of the Moose Lodge 701 in Ironton and was of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene French, Kenny French and Willard Eugene French; and two sisters, Betty Miller and Delores Pernestti.

She is survived by three sons, Mark (Millisa) Clark, of Pine Grove, John (Linda Pierson) Clark and Randy (Donna) Clark Jr., all of Ironton; a daughter, Amanda Clark, of Ironton; five grandchildren, Jessica Koeanig, Kimberly Clark, Terri Clark, Emily Clark and Marky Clark; two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Danielle Koeanig and Airabella Shay Clark; and a brother, Rick French, of Texas.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lawrence Furnace Cemetery and visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.

 

Elmer Mills

Elmer Mills, 94, of Proctorville, died on Monday June 6, 2016. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Proctorville, by pastor Jeff Black, pastor Mike Smith, pastor Duane Smith and pastor Paul Meadows. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, is in charge of arrangements. George Freeman

George E. Freeman, 72, of South Point, died Monday, June 6, 2016, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Ironton. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point. Dr. Homer Bailey

Dr. Homer Virgil “Doc” Bailey, 95, of Flatwoods, Kentucky, died on Monday, June 6, 2016, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Kentucky. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, Kentucky, with Elder Terry Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery NE in Greenup County, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Joseph McKee

Joseph L. McKee, 95, of South Point, died Monday, June 6, 2016, at his residence. Arrangements are pending at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point.
