St. Joseph seeking
girls’ basketball coach
St. Joseph High School is accepting applications for the position of girls’ varsity basketball coach.
Persons interested may obtain an application in the high school office from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Applications will be accepted through Wednesday, June 21.

Rock Hill Youth League
to hold golf scramble
The Rock Hill Youth Recreation League will conduct a golf scramble on Saturday, June 24, at Riverbend Golf Club.
Entry fee is $50 per play for 18 holes with cart. Lunch will be provided and prizes will be awarded.

Ironton Elks Lodge plans
golf scramble for July 8
The Ironton Elks Lodge No. 177 will sponsor an 18-hole golf scramble on Saturday, July 8, at the Oaks Golf Course in Flatwoods, Ky.
Entry fees is $60 per player and $240 per team and includes golf, cart, beer and lunch. First place team wins $400, second place $240 and third place $100. There will be a 9 a.m. shotgun start.

6th Rooster’s co-ed
softball tourney June 25
The 6th Annual Rooster’s River Cities Slamfest Coed Softball tournament will be held June 25 at St. Clouds Commons in Huntington, WV.
Entry fee is $175 if paid at the tournament and $150 if paid by June 21. Each team will hit any 52-300 or less softballs. Classic M is allowed. Each team will be guaranteed three games.
Home runs will be three per game then the rest are an out. Ladies will hit an 11-inch ball.
There will be a live bracket party at Roosters on Wednesday,  June 21. Prizes will be based on amount of teams. If there are eight teams or more, the winners will get 12 T-shirts and a winner’s plaque. Runner and third place will also get plaques.
If there are seven teams or less, the winner and runner-up each get a plaque. However, if there are six or more teams, then the winner will also get $25 for each team in the tournament.

16th Circleville Dog Days
5K road race set Aug. 5
The 16th annual Circleville Dog Days 5K road race, presented by Red Barn, will be held Saturday, Aug. 5, at 9 a.m. beginning and ending at Circleville High School.
Visit www.circlevillexc.com for entry forms and online registration, or you can register the day of the race from 7:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
There is a $15 preregistration fee ($20 on race day) and at least the first 150 registered will receive a free T-shirt.
The event boasts unique “Dog Days” suncatchers, given to the top three in each of 34 total age groups, plus awards to the top three overall male and female finishers. Numerous door prizes also will be awarded, water and splits will be available on the course, and refreshments will be available at the finish.
