Friday hit a home run but it wasn’t enough as the Fairland Lady Dragons lost 8-5 to the Ohio Valley Conference leading Gallipolis Blue Angels on Friday.
Fridley — one of two seniors along with Montana Runnels — had a three-run homer and scored two runs in the loss.
Gallipolis led 3-1 after two innings but Fridley’s home run put Fairland up 4-3 in the third.
The Blue Angels got a run in the fourth and sixth to take a 5-4 lead and scored three in the seventh.
