4 area baseball players Ohio All-Academic

Four local baseball players have been named to the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association 2018 All-Academic Team.
St. Joseph High School had two seniors — Chase Walters and Clay Willis — named to the team while the Coal Grove Hornets’ Jeb Jones and South Point Pointers’ Douglas Shaffer were also honored.
Players must have at least a 3.5 grade point average, a 25 or better ACT score and be a senior, play 70 percent of the games at a hitter or 25 percent as a pitcher.
