Emily McClellan

Dec. 1, 1993 — Oct. 1, 2018

Emily Megan McClellan, 24, of Kitts Hill, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, Oct. 1, 2018. The Ironton native was born Dec. 1, 1993, a daughter of John and Mary Wishman McClellan, of Kitts Hill.
Emily was a 2012 graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School. She was a kennel tech at Petland, where she loved taking care of the animals. Emily loved people and saw the beauty on the inside of each person. Emily was a beautiful, strong willed person, but so loving and gently on the inside, and took great care of her family.
She loved her sisters, Karissa and Lydia, deeply and treasured her time with them. She finally found someone to truly love and enjoy life with, Dave Harvey. Emily was a member of Sharon Baptist Church in Ironton.
Emily was preceded in death by her grandfather, John McClellan; and great-grandparents, Dee and Dorthy Palmer, Charlie and Dorthy McClellan, Stella and Edward Whisman, and Mary McClain.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving sisters, Karissa (Paul) Kerns, of Ironton, and Lydia McClellan, of Kitts Hill; grandparents, Gloria Kay McClellan and Peggy (Mike) Keating, all of Ironton, and Jimmy Whisman, of Georgia; her boyfriend, Dave Harvey, of Kitts Hill; her nephews, Bryson Kerns, Jaxson McClellan, Jeremy Kerns and Chayden Kerns; her niece, Layce Kerns; uncles and aunts, Mark (Tracy) McClellan, of Kitts Hill, Kristi (Lee) Cade, of Newark, Jimmy Whisman, of Ironton, and Paula (Mike) Eastham, of Ironton; a loving great-uncle and great-aunt, Pam (Larry) Romine, of Ironton; and many, many cousins.
Funeral services will be  noon Friday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton, with the Rev. Steve Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery and visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Paul Kerns, Asa Romine, Devyn Romine, Tanner Harvey, Mark McClellan II, Dylan Romine and Brad Wheeler. Angela Justice

March 3, 1964 — Sept. 29, 2018

Angela M. Justice, 54, of Ashland, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. The Lawrence County native was born March 3, 1964, a daughter of Barbara Paige Wood, of Willow Wood, and the late Grayson Arnold Wood. She is survived by her husband, Joe Richard Justice, whom she married April 21, 1986.
Angela attended Dawson-Bryant High School and was a self-employed home health care worker. She enjoyed watching westerns and shopping, but most of all, spending time with family. She was of the Christian faith.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Grady Wood and Bill Wood.
In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by a son, Justin Justice, of Ashland, Kentucky; a daughter, Savannah Justice, of Ashland, Kentucky; a granddaughter, Averly Justice, of Ashland, Kentucky; and three sisters, Connie (Wayne) Dickerson and Bonnie (Billy) Dickerson, both of Linville, and Kay Pennington, of Hickory, North Carolina.

Ralph Lunsford

Oct. 15, 1922 — Sept. 30, 2018

Ralph Emerson Lunsford, 95, of Waterloo, passed away Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018, at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Kentucky. The Waterloo native was born Oct. 15, 1922, a son of the late Charles and Myrtle Wiseman Lunsford. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Evelyn Collins Lunsford, whom he married Aug. 14, 1946.
Mr. Lunsford was a graduate of Rio Grande University and Marshall University, where he received his Master’s Degree. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran and was a former teacher with the Symmes Valley school district for 35 years. He was a farmer and a member of the Palestine Baptist Church in Waterloo. He enjoyed square dancing and camping. He was a 72-year member of the Waterloo Masonic Lodge #532, a 70-year member of the Waterloo Eastern Star Lodge #447, and also a member of the Waterloo VFW.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Reynolds.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Niel) Foote, of Galloway; a son, Alan (Johnna) Lunsford, of Waterloo; five grandchildren, Eric (Missy) Foote, Melissa (Matt) Rower, Nicholas (Cassie) Lunsford, Grant (Beth) Lunsford, and Gretta (Seth) Taylor; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Roger Colegrove officiating. Burial will follow in Slabfork Cemetery with military honors provided by the Waterloo VFW. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
