SOUTH POINT — ESPN had Mike and Mike. The South Point Lady Pointers have Emilee and Emilee.
The duo combined for 31 points as Emilee Carey scored 16 points and Emilee Whitt had 15 to lead the Lady Pointers rout of the South Webster Lady Jeeps 63-28 on Saturday.
Kate Mundy added nine points and five rebounds while Ashley Perkey grabbed eight rebounds for South Point (6-1).
Allison Cook scored 14 points and Baylee Cox had eight to lead South Webster.
South Point took a 14-6 first quarter lead as Carey hit a pair of trifectas and scored 10 points.
The lead went to 26-14 at the half as Sarah Roach scored all five of her points including a 3-pointer. Whitt also hit a trey.
Cox had six of the Lady Jeeps’ points.
Carey hit two more triples and Whitt had a trey and scored five points as the Lady Pointers opened up a 47-24 cushion.
Whitt had five points in the fourth quarter and Diamond Crawley came off the bench to get seven points to offset 10 points by Cook.
South Point hosts Ironton on Thursday.
