CHESAPEAKE — Just like Ol’ Man River, the Fairland Lady Dragons just keep rollin’ along.
The Lady Dragons won their eighth straight game as they beat the Chesapeake Lady Panthers 49-23 in an Ohio Valley Conference game on Monday.
Fairland methodically kept pulling away the entire game as they improved to 8-2 and 4-1 in the OVC.
Kelsi Warnock scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead a balanced offensive for Fairland.
Allie Marshall had nine points, 13 rebounds, two assists and five steals. Brittany Thompson added eight points.

A 3-pointer by Davis gave Chesapeake its only lead of the game at 3-2 with 5:42 on the first quarter clock, but Thompson answered with a 3-pointer of her own at the five-minute mark as Fairland took the lead for good at 5-3.
The Lady Dragons scored 10 points in a row before Blake Anderson made a foul shot for Chesapeake and it was 12-4 at the end of the quarter.
Jessica King’s basket had Fairland up 18-4 and then Davis hit another trifecta to make it 18-7.
Fairland went on a 7-0 run to lead 25-7 before the Lady Panthers’ Corrine Ferguson’s trey and added a foul shot later and it was 25-11 at the half.
Fairland outscored Chesapeake 13-2 to start the second half and led 38-15 at the end of the third quarter.
Sammie McComas had a putback and Pauley hit a 3-pointer to start the fourth quarter and it was 38-20.
Warnock hit a basket at the 5:16 mark to end the quick scoring spurt by Chesapeake and Fairland went on an 11-0 run capped by two Libby Judge foul shots for a 48-20 lead with 33 seconds to play.
