Carolyn Baker

Nov. 22, 1943 — Jan. 21, 2019

Carolyn Sue Baker, of Ironton, passed away Monday, Jan. 21, 2019. She was born Nov. 22, 1943, in Ironton to the late Herman Jarvis and Sarah Lewis Jarvis Dement. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Phillip D. Baker, on April 3, 2010.
She attended Church of God Prophecy and The City Mission Church. She was of the Baptist faith. She worked with her daughter and family at Cochran and Company Swimming Pools, at May’s Donut Shop and as a cook in many restaurants over the years.
She was preceded in death by sister, Gladys Marie Jarvis; stepsiblings, Gordon Dement, Richie Dement, Charlotte Moore and Barbara Moore; stepfather, John Dement; nephew, Mark Strunk; and mother-in-law, Ruth Baker.
Survivors include Joyce Baker, of Ironton, Terri (Jim) Cochran, of Kitts Hill, and Dale (Megan) Baker, of Ironton; sister, Connie (Steve) Strunk, of Ironton; stepsiblings, Bob Dement, Larry Dement, Fred Dement, Betsy West and Gail Owens; grandchildren, Mandy (Derek) Moore, Sarah (Justin) Hyland, Staci (Ryan) Sias, Madison (Jason) Connett, Ashley (David) Abrams and Kathleen Baker; great-grandchildren, Mylie Moore, Derek Moore Jr., Noah Hyland, Maximus Hyland, Alexis Abrams, Brooke Abrams and Michael Duran.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. today at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home, Ironton. Funeral service will start at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. James Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.

 

Carl Edward Dilley

Jan. 19, 1934- Jan. 24, 2019

Carl Edward Dilley, 85, of Ironton, passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia.
He was born Jan. 19, 1934 in Andis son of the late William and Hilda Dillon Dilley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Faye Dilley; a brother, Larry Dilley; one sister, Louise Bennett; grandson, Ian Michael Conley; and great granddaughter, Mia Trinity Conley.
He was a member of Proctorville Masonic Lodge #550 F & AM, 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason Valley of Cincinnati and a member of South Point Chapter OES #404. He retired from ARMCO.
He is survived by three daughters, Debra (Mike) Conley, of Huntington, West Virginia, Pamela Goldcamp, of South Point, and Carlynn (Jim) Cobb, of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; four siblings, James Dilley, William Berkley Dilley, Jr, Elenora Humphreys and Marcella Kelley; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, West Virginia. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville with Proctorville Masonic Lodge #550 conducting Masonic services at 8:30 p.m. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ehallfuneralhome.com.

 

Terry Minard

Terry Minard, 62, of Ironton, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019, at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky. He is survived by his wife, Marsha Lavender Minard. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Kevin West officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
