France, Blagg key Redmen to 63-42 win on senior night

PEDRO — For the Rock Hill Redmen seniors, this was the way to go out.
Kadin France had 10 points and 19 rebounds while Jake Blagg had 14 points and six assists to lead the Redmen to a 63-42 win over the St. Joseph Flyers on Tuesday in their final home game.
“I am really proud of our boys. The put together a complete game from beginning to end. It was a complete team effort with four kids in double figures,” said Rock Hill coach Gordy Collins.
“I am really proud of our seniors Kadin, Jake and Cameron (Donohue). Each stepped up tonight to lead us.”
Logan Hankins led the Redmen with 17 points and Owen Hankins scored 10. The Redmen had 40 rebounds as a team led by France with 19 as he recorded career rebound No. 500.
“Garrett (Miller) improves each game while Owen (Hankins) continues to give us offensive production. And Logan (Hankins) was assertive on offense,” said Collins.
“Jake had a great night scoring and handing out assists. We can say enough about Kadin. He had another double-double.”
The Flyers (14-7) could generate very little offense as leading scorer Zach Roach got only six points. J.C. Damron led the Flyers with a game-high 18 points.
Blagg and Miller hit 3-pointers as Rock Hill (4-17) took a 12-8 first quarter lead.
The Redmen offense erupted for 24 points in the second quarter to lead 36-19 at the half.
Logan and Owen Hankins, Miller and Blagg scored five points apiece and each hit a 3-pointer. Roach and Damron four points each in the quarter.
Logan Hankins hit two more triples and France scored four points as Rock Hill extended its lead to 52-34 after three quarter.
Damron eight points and Isaac Whaley hit a trifecta in the quarter.
On Friday, Rock Hill visits Fairland. The Flyers play at Northwest on Saturday.
