The Village of Coal Grove is asking people to check their water before using it. If the water is pink, don’t drink it.

On Monday morning, a pump malfunctioned at the water plant and caused too much of a non-harmful chemical to be released into the water system.

The water plant operator asks that you do not drink, shower  or wash clothes until it has cleared up. Water is expected to be clear by 1 p.m.
