In 1930, Ted Allyn opened a jewelry store in Ironton on Center Street, with its stock coming items he found that were being auctioned.

Tom has been working in the store since 1958.

Through floods and other events, it has persevered, with customers coming back for its merchandise, affordable pricing, reliable service and the care offered by its owners.

And the good word of mouth has made it a familiar name to many in the Tri-State, with many a family recommending it to others.

We congratulate Allyn for the milestone he has reached in building on his father’s work.

Whether it’s a longtime establishment or the several newly-launched businesses downtown, local stores are vital to cities like Ironton.

They are what give a community its unique personality and make it a draw to those from out of town.
