Last week, students at Ashland Regional Dance Theatre were given an opportunity to learn from a prestigious video.

Alisa Bolanitkova, audition tour director for the Moscow Ballet, taught a master class for dancers at the school.

But Bolanitkova was there mainly to preside over auditions for The Great Russian Nutcracker, which is coming to the Paramount Arts Center.

The traveling performance by the Moscow Ballet, which visits cities in the U.S. and Canada will be giving more than local dancers a chance to take part in the production.

Through their “Dance with Us” program, locals will take supporting parts in the holiday show and dance with the visitors from Moscow.

This is a great opportunity for them and we encourage everyone to consider attending the performance in December.
