Both Castles said they enjoy getting their hands dirty and work side-by-side making their home a show place in their neighborhood. Long-range planning is apparent in their mix of perennials and annuals that results in a beautiful yard in every season.

The yard contest will continue through October. Residents may nominate their own or another resident’s yard by e-mailing the entry to irontoninbloom@zoominternet.net or by sending the address to Ironton In Bloom Inc., P.O. Box 4599, Ironton. Mailed entries must be postmarked by the 10th of each month to be considered.
