The public is invited to the Ashland Community and Technical College 2009 Commencement Ceremony Saturday, May 16, at 10 a.m. in the Paramount Arts Center.

The guest speaker will be Dr. Patrick R. Lake, President of Henderson Community College.

The student speaker will be Alice L. Clark, an Ashland resident who is graduating with both associate in arts and associate in science degrees.

The commencement ceremony will recognize 447 graduating students, many whom have earned more than one degree, diploma or certificate.

The ceremony is free and open to the public.

ACTC Honors Night on Tuesday, May 14, will recognize students for their academic and service achievements in the 2008-09 academic year.

The public is invited to the free program at 7 p.m. in the J. B. Sowards Theatre at the College Drive Campus.
