“That was a big win. That gave them three losses and we still haven’t loss,” said Green coach Dale Royse.

Ali Thompson pitched a two-hitter for Green. She struck out 11 and walked two.

“Ali pitched pretty well and Cassidy Skaggs played a nice game for us. She had five putouts at shortstop. And (Tiffany) Stoneking had a big hit with two outs,” said Royse.

Symmes Valley’s Chelsea Wall had a leadoff home run in the second to give the Lady Vikings a 1-0 lead. Haily Pelletier walked and came around to score on a hit by Brooke Skinner.

Green took the lead with three runs in the third inning.

Destiny Skaggs singled, Cassidy Skaggs reached on an error and Abbey Barrett also reached on an error as a run scored. Stoneking then came up with the key hit as she smacked a two-run double.

The Lady Bobcats got an insurance run in the sixth when Adrianne Blankenship was safe on an error and Breanna Johnson doubled.

Green hosts Eastern on Wednesday.
