Marshall gets $10M to support sports medicine center

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Marshall University has received $10 million to support its planned sports medicine translational research center.

Marshall says in a news release that a $5 million gift from the Cline Family Foundation has been matched by the state’s “Bucks for Brains” West Virginia Research Trust Fund.

The university says the center will give athletes the opportunity to participate in advancing care. It will be located in a multipurpose indoor practice complex Marshall plans to build as part of a $30 million athletics facilities upgrade.
