Kitts Hill artist shows pottery work along ‘Magnificent Mile’ in Chicago

KITTS HILL — B.J. Wilder will be showing her teapots at the Chiaroscuro Gallery in Chicago during their 20th anniversary National Teapot Show, April 6 through May 10.

The gallery is located at 835 N. Michigan Avenue, also known as the “Magnificent Mile.”

The works being shown are from the artist’s teapot series, “In the Garden.”

Wilder’s clay studio, Hands of Clay, is located in the Pendleton Art Center, Studio 119/121, at 1537 Winchester Ave., in Ashland.

Her clay art pieces may be seen there during Ashland’s Art Walk every First Friday of the month from 5-9 p.m. and the following day on Second Look Saturday from 2-5 p.m.

She also exhibits at the Kentucky Museum of Arts and Crafts in Louisville, and Art on the Levee Gallery in Newport.

She is a member of the American Society of Ceramics Potters Council and the local Tri-State Artists Association.

Wilder is a Kitts Hill resident where she resides with her husband, Joe Bokovitz.
