Mildred A. Walters, 82, of Ironton died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. She was born Dec. 22, 1928, the daughter of the late Lester A. and Carrie Travis Norris and stepdaughter of the late Grace M. Norris. She was also preceded in death by a son James S. Walters and one brother Charles Norris. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph T. Walters; three daughters and one son-in-law, Sharon M. Walters of Ironton, Amanda Roush of Coal Grove and Carolee and John Rowe of Columbus, Ga.; one sister and brother in-law, Phyllis and Bob Terrell of Corbin, Ky.; and five grandchildren, Rebecca Walters, Breanne Braddy, Katie Roush, Lindsay Roush and Jeremy Roush. Funeral will be on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home with the Rev. David Saunders officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
