Ironton police

Trouble — 200 block Park Avenue, 2:27 a.m. Wednesday, woman reportedly beating on apartment door, yelling, located and taken to hospital, second call 5:05 a.m., woman released from hospital returned and now beating on door and door knob with flashlight, Mary J. Morrison, 80, 202 Park Ave., charged with attempted burglary and taken to jail.

Theft — 200 block North Second Street, 7:59 a.m. Wednesday, GPS taken from vehicle.

Theft — Catos, Ironton Hills Shopping Center, 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, one person detained and cited to court.

Breaking and entering — 200 block North Fifth Street, 1:33 p.m. Wednesday.

Trouble — 800 block South Ninth Street, 7:23 p.m. Wednesday, man reportedly trying to start fight, left prior to officer arrival.

Trouble — Fuzzy Duck, Center Street Landing, 9:17 p.m. Wednesday, two men refusing to leave, one left prior to officers’ arrival, other complied without assistance.

Domestic — 700 block Washington Street, 9:32 p.m. Wednesday, woman reportedly beaten, suspect named, Jeffrey L. Lewis, 41, 2218 N. Sixth St., arrested and taken to jail.

— Joseph B. Owens, 37, 708 S. Fourth St., commitment Thursday by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

— Ryan L. Deerfield, 29, 804 Solida Road, South Point, outstanding warrant Wednesday by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

— Heather N. Crager, 26, 103 Solida Road, South Point, outstanding warrants Wednesday by Ironton Municipal Court.

Assault — Township Road 1222, South Point, man reportedly struck in face, suspect named.

Domestic — Fayette Township Thursday, woman reportedly choked, phone taken, menaced, Christopher Jenkins, 33, homeless, arrested and taken to jail.
