COAL GROVE — Abby Hamilton is in a fight for her lift. Chris Brammer wants to join the fight with a fight.

Brammer — a Coal Grove Village Councilman — has been an amateur and professional boxer. While his job, community service and commitments as a father and husband take up his time now, Brammer plans to offer one more fight to benefit Hamilton’s fight against cancer.

East Coast Promotions will present a professional boxing show on Saturday, March 24, at the El Hasa Shrine Temple in Ashland, Ky. All of Brammer’s proceeds for the fight will be donated to Hamilton.

“The more tickets I sell, the better for her,” said Brammer.

Tickets are on sale at Coal Grove Giovanni’s Pizza or from Brammer through his facebook page or by calling (740) 534-2109.

General admission is $20 and $25 the day of the show. VIP tables — a section of six seats — are $250. Drinks are included with the VIP table package.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the fights begin at 8 p.m.

Brammer will fight in the cruiserweight division against Justin Hamilton, an up-and-coming fighter who turned professional last year.

Also on the card will be Adam Collins, Travis Hanshaw, Tommy Hanshaw and Colt Phelps.

Brammer will step into the ring just a little more than 200 pounds sport a pro record of 7-4 with five knockouts. He turned professional in 2004 during the off-season while playing football at Glenville State.

Brammer still has a fight on April 21 at Glenville state as part of his three-year contract with East Coast Promotions.
