It brings together communities, businesses, government, health organizations, and other groups in an effort to promote women’s health and its importance.

It also empowers women to make their health a priority and encourages them to take steps to improve their physical and mental health and lower their risks of certain diseases.

Since opening five years ago, the OLBH Women’s Center has combined breast health services in one location, eliminating the necessity for multiple appointments and prolonged waiting for women.

The Women’s Center offers GE Full Field digital mammography for improved efficiency and same-day results, clinical breast examinations, breast ultrasound, surgical consultations with an OLBH surgeon, minimally invasive breast biopsy, a DEXA densitometer to screen for bone density and a full-time nurse practitioner to serve as the center’s “nurse navigator” to guide patients through the process.
