FOI seeks fireworks sponsors
Last May, residents of Ironton and surrounding areas were able to begin their Memorial Day weekend watching fireworks on the banks of the Ohio River and by doing so, added another dimension to the tradition of Ironton’s Memorial Day celebration.
The Friends of Ironton sponsored the fireworks with help from the Ironton Eagles, Unger’s and an anonymous donor. Friends of Ironton is planning the fireworks again this year and is looking for sponsors. All sponsorships — large and small — will be recognized at the display.
Anyone who would like to sponsor the fireworks and be part of this new tradition is asked to send their name, address, sponsorship amount and indicate and whether a name is to be included on the sponsorship list, to Friends of Ironton, P.O. Box 448, Ironton, OH 45638.
Sponsorship ranges are $5-$50 (silver); $51-$100 (gold); $101-$200 (platinum); $201-$1,000 (diamond) and $1,001-up (traditional).
