The Lawrence County Common Pleas Court, the Ironton Municipal Court and the County Court in Chesapeake had a food drive from Nov. 3 through Nov. 21 with the help from a donation from Collins Career Center.
The food goes to the Community Free Market, a program operated by churches and volunteers in Aid Township.
“This is the first time that we have had a food drive,” Talitha Patterson, administrative assistant to Judge D. Scott Bowling, said. “It went really well.”
The goal of acquiring 500 items was surpassed.
The food was loaded into a truck on Friday taken to the Community Free Market.
