UPPER TOWNSHIP— The Upper Township Volunteer Fire Department will be have its chili cook off  from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the station located at 3402 State Route 141.

“There are two categories,” Upper Township Fire Chief J.D. Pancake said. “People’s choice and judges choice.”

The cost is $2 per person to sample chili or $1 and a canned food item that will be donated to the BackPack Buddies organization based out of the Campbell Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.

Pancake said that currently there are nine entries for the cook off, but more people can come and enter the cook off tomorrow.
