ASHLAND, Ky. — Each May, Friends of the Highlands, the Highlands Museum and Discovery Center’s support organization, host a Victorian Tea.

This year’s event is called “The Uptown Abbey Tea” and will be at the Highlands Museum from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, May 9.

“Different volunteers and local businesses decorate the tables with eclectic centerpieces and teacups,” Emily Roush, education and marketing director at the museum, said. “It always features music and this year will also include a hat making demonstration.”

“It’s a fun event that people love getting dressed up for,” Roush said. “Some of the people even show up in period costumes.”
