Big Boy set to host car show

The Ironton Frisch’s Big Boy is hosting its inaugural judged car show from 4-9 p.m. on Saturday,which will also include music, food, a 50/50 raffle and prizes.

“We (the owners) were sitting around talking about ways to generate people into Ironton,” Jim Howard, said. “I’m the car guy in the group and thought that a car show would be a good way to do that.”

Entertainment will include a DJ, live music by the “GeezeCats” from Cleveland and inflatables for the children. There will also be plenty of door prizes, Howard said.

The top 25 cars will be awarded plaques and trophies will be given to the top Ford, Chevy, General Motors, Chrysler, import, special interest and best of show. A Big Boy Award will be given to a car picked by the owners of Big Boy as well.

The event is free to the public, but it is $10 to register a car in the show.

The car show will be at 200 Bobby Bare Blvd.
