PORTSMOUTH — Saturday will be the 27th year of the El Hasa Shrine Hillbilly Golf Outing at 9 a.m. at the Portsmouth Elks.

The outing will benefit Lexington Orthopedics as well as the Cincinnati Burn Unit of the Shriners Hospital for Children, specializing in pediatric burns.

“Last year we had 98 golfers, but this year we’re shooting for 124,” Jim Webber, tournament chairman, said. “That would put two foursomes on each of the 18 holes.”

The cost to play is $60 per person and players are asked to bring their own foursome to golf with.

“It’s one of those things where we want our golfers to experience what the Shriners do for the kids,” Webber said. “It’s a great feeling.”

Portsmouth Elks is located at 19787 State Route 73, Unit A, in McDermott. For more information, contact Webber at 740-646-4300.
