Ironton aLive will be in the Christmas spirit Thursday as it hosts a Christmas in July planning session for business owners and the community.

“It’s Ironton aLive putting a group of people together to work on Christmas celebrations in downtown Ironton,” Sam Heighton, acting executive director of Ironton aLive, said. “We will discuss ideas to have a better Christmas display downtown along with more activities and decorations.”

Those at the meeting will be treated with Christmas cookies and punch during the presentation and discussion, Heighton said.

“You don’t need to be a business owner to attend,” Heighton said “If you would like to take part in the discussion, help with the project or just celebrate Christmas in July, you are very welcome.”

The planning session will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the city center.
