Lawrence “Larry” J. Nelson, 64, of Ironton, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015, at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland. He is survived by his wife, Sharnda Yearwood Nelson. Funeral services will be noon Friday at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church with pastor Dameon Sneed officiating.  Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, Greenup, Kentucky, with full military honors.
