Portsmouth beer fest set for Sept. 19

20 breweries will participate
PORTSMOUTH — For the second straight year, The Party Connection in Portsmouth is hosting the River Valley Craft Beer Fest, Saturday, Sept. 19 from 1-5 p.m.
“There will be live music, food and 20 breweries represented at the beer fest,” Bob Rutman, owner of The Party Connection, said. “We’re excited about it.”
Breweries will include New Belgium, Goose Island, Portsmouth Brewery, Jackie-O’s, Mad Tree, Brew Kettle, Bell’s, Dark Horse, Weyerbacher, North High, Homestead, Sweet Water, Elevator, Rivertown, Victory Brewing, Brooklyn Brewery, Christian Moerlein, Woodchuck, Mt. Carmel and Sierra Nevada, which will be selling their seasonal beers and best sellers.
Food will be available for purchase by Buffalo Wild Wings and the Scioto Ribber as well as a tent by Vicarias Cigars for cigar rolling and sales.
Tickets are $20 for general admission, which includes seven sampling tickets, and $40 for VIP, which includes a private early bird tasting at noon, seven sampling tickets to use after 1 p.m., a logo’d pint glass, a designated tent and seating area and complimentary water and snacks.
