BURLINGTON — The Concerned Citizens of the Burlington Area are again giving people the opportunity to meet the candidates running for local offices Thursday evening at Burlington Elementary School at 6 p.m.

“We invite all of the candidates to come talk to us. This gives the people of Burlington a chance to meet the candidates who are running for office,” Ed Moellendick, president of the Concerned Citizens, said. “Every time there’s an election we do this. We’ve probably done this for 20-plus years.”

The candidates who will be available are those running for the Fayette Township Trustee, Fayette fiscal officer, South Point School Board and the Lawrence County Educational Board.

“We’ll have a reception afterward where the candidates can mingle with the voters and discuss issues,” Moellendick said.
