Replicas of Columbus’ ships at Ashland riverfront

ASHLAND, Ky. — Replicas of Christopher Columbus’ ships, the Nina and the Pinta, will be docked at the Ashland riverfront for the general public today through early Thursday, Nov. 12.

The ships are open for walk-aboard self-guided tours every day they are docked from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults, $7 for senior citizens and $5 for students ages 5-16. Admission is free for children 4 years old and younger.

Thirty-minute guided tours with a crew member are available for schools and groups. Teachers or other groups wishing to schedule a tour should call the ship directly at 1-787-672-2152 or visit www.ninapinta.org and click on “Take a Tour” to fill out an online form. A minimum of 15 people is required for groups and all groups are $5 a person regardless of age.
