Commission meets at Rome Fire Station

ROME TOWNSHIP — As a way to meet at different locations throughout Lawrence County, the commissioners had their weekly meeting Tuesday evening at the Rome Township Volunteer Fire Department.

At the meeting, the commissioners:

• Approved and signed the weekly invoices and certificates as presented by the auditor’s office.

• Approved three floodplains permits.

• Received and filed the dog warden report dated 2016.

• Approved 10 transfer funds.

• Approved two appropriate funds.

• Approved and signed the agreement between Lawrence County and Maximus for cost allocations 2018-2020 at a rate of $6,750 per year.

• Accepted the resignation of Daniel Cottle, part-time paramedic, effective Sept. 26, 2016, requested by Buddy Fry, executive director.

• Approved to donate $5,000 to Ohio University Southern Proctorville toward a walking track and soccer field.
