Ironton Police Department investigating assault case

Ironton Police Chief Pam Wagner said this past weekend’s Rally on the River, hosted by the Friends of Ironton downtown, brought no major incidents or arrests.

“We didn’t have anything real major. We are investigating an assault, and there were a few fender benders,” Wagner said. “But other than that, it went really well and everyone seemed to have a good time.”

Wagner added that one fender bender may have had to do with the event, but the other did not.

“Overall, it was a really good event with nothing major for us to have to deal with,” she said. “Just our regular, everyday stuff.”
