A collection of paintings and prints completed by artist Frankie Wheeler are currently on display at the Briggs Lawrence County Library in Ironton.
Wheeler passed away on Nov. 17, 2017, at the age of 94, but lived in Charleston, Beckley and Dunbar, West Virginia, where she was a well-known artist and art teacher.
At the age of 87, Wheeler moved to Cincinnati to live with her son, Steven, who passed away on Mother’s Day this year at the age of 64.
Wheeler’s works are being exhibited by her daughter, Pati Payne, of Ironton. The art exhibit will be on display through Saturday, July 14.
