Prescriptions, permits on agenda

The Lawrence County Commission approved several items at its meeting on Tuesday.

• Approved three floodplain permit renewals.

• Approved one appropriation.

• Approved 34 transfer funds.

• Approved the contract with Coler Long Term Care LTD, for Prescription Medications for jail inmates. Copler Long Term Care provides inmates with the Ohio Medicaid/Medicare rates, approved as to form by the Lawrence County prosecutor.

• Approved the contract for Premier Health Care Services LLC for the Lawrence County Jail, approved by the Lawrence County prosecutor.

• Approved the hire of Tyler Jenkins for the position of Maintenance at Union Rome Sewer, as requested by Lisa Pine, URS administrator.

• Approved the status change of employment for Charles Broughton from part-time paramedic to full-time paramedic, and Nathaniel Miskar from part-time EMT to part-time paramedic, effective Sept. 9.

• Approved the resignation of Eric Collinsworth from Lawrence County EMS, effective Sept. 5, 2018.

• Approved the grand offer for the Airport Improvement Project, Project No. 3-39-0107-010-2018 at the Lawrence County Airpark, Chesapeake, in the amount of $1,125,801, effective Sept. 5, 2018, approved by the Lawrence County prosecutor.
