Kids get Halloween treats at Wyngate at RiversEdge event
ROME TOWNSHIP— The Wyngate at RiversEdge senior living community hosted its fifth annual Halloween event Monday evening, drawing many children dressed up in their Halloween costumes.
The event featured a safe trick-or-treat, where seniors living at the Wyngate assisted in passing out candy, a magic show and snacks of cookies and Halloween-themed cupcakes.
“This is the fifth year that we’ve had a Halloween event, and it’s open to the whole community,” Julie Poff, activities director at Wyngate, said. “We send out invites to everyone, and everything is compliments of the Wyngate.”
This is just one event that the Wyngate puts on annually, as the senior living community tries to have a community event each month.
