Early last Tuesday morning, a crew of Ironton City workers were out with chainsaws to cut the base of this year’s Christmas tree so it could be installed on Rotary Plaza at the intersection of Third and Center streets. The 23-foot-tall Leyland Cypress tree was purchased from Dickess Tree Farm in Kitts Hill.
