COLUMBUS(AP) — Corey Babb threw for four touchdowns, two to tight end Anthony Corsaro, to lead Indianapolis Cathedral to a 34-17 win against Centerville (Ohio) in the second game Monday of the Kirk Herbstreit National Kickoff Classic in Ohio Stadium.

Babb’s 24-yarder to Corsaro early in the third quarter made the score 20-10 and he padded the lead with a toss from 3 yards to Wyatt Wood with 7:11 to play.

Centerville (0-2) pulled to within 27-17 with 4:01 left when Josh Carleton recovered a blocked punt in the end zone but it wasn’t enough for the school that Herbstreit, a former Ohio State quarterback and now a college football analyst for ESPN, graduated from in 1988.

The Elks made their first appearance in the event since 2006.

Gino Gillum rushed 14 yards with 1:22 remaining for the final Cathedral score that was set up by an interception.

Babb was 9 for 21 for 205 yards for the Fighting Irish (1-2).

Centerville (0-2) had to settle for a 26-yard field goal by Jason Kaczala as time expired in the first half after driving 71 yards, using 22 plays and 7:06 off the clock while converting three fourth downs.

Their lone touchdown was a 6-yard quarterback keeper from Janson Matthews for a 7-0 advantage.

In the first game, Allen Hopkins ran for three first-half touchdowns and Camden County from Kingsland, Ga., overcame an early deficit to defeat Cleveland Glenville 23-14.

Hopkins scored from 20 yards and twice from the 3 to give the Wildcats (2-0) a 20-14 halftime advantage.

The lead grew to nine late in the third quarter on a 45-yard field goal by Keith Pecko that hit the crossbar on the way through.

Glenville (0-2) relied on two big plays by V’Angelo Bentley.

He had an 86-yard punt return for a 7-0 lead and he went 27 yards after scooping a fumble to make it 14-6 with 2:23 left in the first quarter. He finished with 214 all-purpose yards.

Hopkins brought the Wildcats to within 14-13 almost immediately after Bentley’s second touchdown when J.J. Green returned the kickoff 71 yards to the Glenville 7.

The ball was moved to the three on a facemask penalty and Hopkins ran left into the end zone on the first play.

He later completed a 14-play, 71-yard drive that consumed 6 minutes, 35 seconds when he rushed from 3 yards for the 20-14 lead just before the half.

Camden County took a field goal off the board when Glenville was offside and elected to go for the touchdown and Hopkins had no trouble following his blockers for the go-ahead points.

Glenville was hurt by 18 penalties for 120 yards and had just five first downs. Hopkins rushed for 77 yards on 15 carries and teammate Kevonn McKenzie added 78 yards on 15 rushes.
