St. Joe turkey dinner Sunday

It’s as much a part of fall as pumpkins and falling leaves.

The annual turkey dinner to benefit Ironton catholic Schools will be 1-5 p.m. Sunday in the St. Joseph Catholic Church undercroft. More than 2,000 meals will be served. All the proceeds will benefit the city’s two Catholic schools, St. Lawrence Elementary School and St. Joseph High School.

The menu is turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, rolls, dessert and a beverage. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children. The elementary school children make the table decorations each year and students at both schools help serve the meals.

In addition to the meal, there are several items that will be raffled, such as a fall centerpiece, a Christmas decoration, set of Lincoln logs and a five-foot metal Santa Claus. Various craft items donated by ICS parents will also be available.
