On Wednesday in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court, Natasha Strunk, 24, of 256 County Road 45, Ironton, pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated possession of drugs and one count of endangering a minor.

Cooper sentenced Strunk to four years community-control sanctions under intensive supervised probation and ordered her to complete successfully a rehabilitation program at the STAR Community Justice Center. A 90-day jail sentence would run concurrently with the sentence, Cooper said.

Cooper modified bond for David Christian, 35, of 61 Township Road 84 West, Willow Wood, after adult probation officer, Lynn Stewart, said he tested positive for oxycontin. Christian’s bond was doubled from $50,000 to $100,000.

Christian previously pleaded not guilty to nine counts of drug trafficking and one count of receiving stolen property.

James Curry, 41, of 2134 State Route 217, Kitts Hill, also tested positive for drugs and Cooper doubled his bond from $25,000 to $50,000.

Stewart said he tested positive for oxycontin, benzodiazepine and marijuana.

Curry previously pleaded not guilty to third degree trafficking in drugs and fourth-degree trafficking in drugs.

Cooper also modified bond for Buddy Allen Jenkins, 30, of 615 South Fifth St., Ironton, after he tested positive for oxycontin and admitted to smoking marijuana. His bond was doubled from $25,000 to $50,000.

Jenkins previously pleaded not guilty to third degree complicity to aggravated trafficking in drugs, fourth degree aggravated trafficking in drugs and third degree aggravated trafficking in drugs.

Rickey E. Winters, 52, of 417 Solida Road, South Point, had his bond doubled as well after testing positive for oxycontin, benzodiazepine and opiates.

The adult probation officer said Winters had a prescription for hydrocodon, which may account for the positive test of opiates. Cooper doubled his bond to $100,000 cash or $200,000 property, which could be lowered if he could provide the bottles for his prescriptions.

Winters is accused of breaking into the Tackle Box in South Point ad charged with grand theft, receiving stolen property, breaking and entering and vandalism.

William French, 32, of 1577 County Road 52, Ironton, pleaded guilty to complicity to burglary and could face up to eight years in prison and a $15,000 fine. Cooper scheduled his sentencing for Oct. 12.
