RUSSELL, Ky. – Work to install curbing along U.S. 23 at Russell, Ky., Thursday will restrict traffic to one lane near the KY 244 intersection.

The left-hand “fast lane” on U.S. 23 will be closed Thursday from 9 a.m. until approximately 4 p.m. In addition, the left turn lane on KY 244 approaching US 23 from downtown Russell could be blocked or restricted during construction. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes as detours and delays are possible.

Road work is subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, “Drive Smart” in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
