ODOT announces travel advisory

State Route 141 is reduced to one, 10-foot lane for a slip repair project. The project site is located between Symmes Creek and Marion-Brushy Fork roads.

Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained with temporary traffic signals. The project is anticipated to be completed in mid-summer 2013.

A slip repair project is under way at the 3.5-mile marker on State Route 650. The project site is located between Tunnel Ridge and Pine Grove-Smokey Hollow roads. Traffic will be maintained in one, 9-foot lane with the use of temporary traffic signals.

State Route 650 is reduced to one, 9-foot lane at the 6.40-mile marker for a slip repair project. The project site is situated just south of County Road 43 (Kelly’s Mill Road), between the route’s junction with State Route 522 and the village of Hanging Rock.

Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained with the use of temporary traffic signals.

Effective Monday, April 8, State Route 522 will be reduced to one, 9-foot lane at the 5.30-mile marker for a slip repair project. The project site is situated between County Road 41 (S. Buckhorn-Superior Road) and County Road 27 (Little Pine Creek Road). Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained with the use of temporary traffic signals.

On Monday, April 15, State Route 243 will be reduced to one, 9-foot lane at the 16.00-mile marker for a slip repair project. The project site is located between Township Road 1182 (Fitzpatrick Road) and County Road 32 (Eaton Road).

Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained in one lane with the use of temporary traffic signals, and the project is anticipated to be completed in early summer.

A resurfacing project is scheduled to begin the week of April 29 on State Route 93. The route will be reduced to one lane between Township Road 258 (Kimble Creek Road) and the Lawrence-Jackson County line during daytime, business hours, and traffic will be maintained by flaggers when crews are at work. The project is anticipated to be completed by November.

Construction for the Ironton-Russell Bridge replacement is under way, with work being conducted off affected roadways. As part of this project, portions of Jefferson and Third streets in Ironton are closed temporarily for pavement and sidewalk construction.

In addition to localized closures affecting downtown traffic, motorists are advised of equipment entering and exiting the work zone in Ironton and at the U.S. 23 viaduct in Kentucky.
